The Ghana Center for Democratic Development (CDD-Ghana) is pleased to welcome University of Findlay’s Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs and Institutional effectiveness Dr. John Osae-Kwapong to the Center as Associate Fellow. Dr. John Osae-Kwapong will be at the Center for a year.
Dr. Osae-Kwapong has eight years of experience working in higher education in the area of planning and institutional effectiveness. He served as Director of Planning and Research at Columbia University, New York. He also served as the Director of Planning, Assessment and Research at The Graduate School, Washington, D.C. between 2010 and 2012; and Director of Institutional research at the Gallaudet University, Washington, D.C. from 2009-2010. In addition, he held several roles with the Virginia Community College System (2006-2009) and was an Assessment Coordinator for Frederick Community College, Frederick, Maryland in 2006. Since 2013, Osae-Kwapong has been an adjunct lecturer at the Metropolitan College of New York and was an instructor at George Mason University between 2007 and 2011.
While at the Center, Dr. Kwapong will support the Center’s work on political economy, politics and the politics of development generally.
Head of Research and Programmes at CDD-Ghana, Dr. Franklin Oduro remarks that ‘we are confident that Dr. Osea-Kwapong’s stay at the Center will be an exciting one, especially in the areas of research and, we trust he will enjoy his stay here for the next one year’.
