Freedom,prosperity,and unity were the main goals of Ghanaian independence. Unfortunately, much of Ghana’s 50- year experience with nationhood was dominated by false starts as well as twists and turns. The lofty dreams turned largely nightmarish in much of the first 30years of Ghanaian life as an independent nation .
