CDD-Ghana has lauded the Supreme Court’s landmark rulings declaring the political party delegate system unconstitutional and affirming the constitutionality of the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP), describing both decisions as significant milestones for Ghana’s democratic governance and accountability architecture. The Center believes the rulings present an opportunity to strengthen internal party democracy, address the rising cost and monetization of politics, and reinforce the country’s anti-corruption framework.

Speaking on Point of View on Channel One TV, Dr. Kojo Asante, Director of Policy Engagement and Partnerships at CDD-Ghana, discussed the significance of both rulings, explaining their implications for political party governance, democratic participation, and the continued independence of the Office of the Special Prosecutor.
