Election 2024: Reimagining the fight against multidimensional poverty

The Ghana Statistical Services’ (GSS) recent report on multidimensional poverty in Ghana showed that, a little over seven million (7,317,555) or twenty-four percent (24%) Ghanaians are multidimensionally poor. Measuring poverty this way gives a comprehensive picture of the extent of deprivation faced by Ghanaians. Multidimensional poverty looks at three key areas – education, health, and standard of living, across twelve indicators.
